What we keep, and who can see it
Talking about gambling, money and family is hard. This page says plainly what happens to what you tell us.
Your conversations can be read by our team
Conversations with Milind, on the website and on WhatsApp, may be read by the TalkToMilind team to keep people safe and to improve the service. Every time a team member opens someone’s conversation, or reveals their phone number, it is logged with their name and the time, and the team can see each other’s log.
We read conversations so we can notice when somebody may be in danger, and to check that Milind’s replies are helping. We do not sell your conversations, and we do not use them for advertising.
What we store
- Your account: your email address or phone number, the name or handle you choose, and your settings.
- Your conversations with Milind, so he can carry on where you left off.
- Things Milind has learned about you in conversation — your name, the city you live in, what sets off an urge, what has helped — so he does not have to ask again.
- Anything you post in the rooms, stories or the wall, and any session you book.
Your messages are sent to the AI service that writes Milind’s replies, only to write those replies.
If you message Milind on WhatsApp, we receive your number, the name on your WhatsApp profile and your messages through WhatsApp’s business service, which is run by Meta. Your WhatsApp conversation is stored here the same way a website conversation is, and can be read by our team in the same way, with the same log. If you link your WhatsApp to a website account, the two become one account with one history.
Deleting your data
Email hello@talktomilind.com from the address on your account, or tell us the WhatsApp number you used, and ask for your data to be deleted. We will delete your account, your conversations and everything Milind has learned about you.
